About the Center for Ethics and Economic Justice

MISSION

The Center for Ethics and Economic Justice exists to promote the Jesuit and Catholic mission of Loyola University New Orleans and the College of Business, especially by seeking the “greater glory of God” in the context of business, work, and the economy. Rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition as well as management and organizational studies, the Center fosters student formation, moral knowledge, and economic justice through academic scholarship, student programming, and partnerships with community members, in this way serving the university, the greater New Orleans area, and the Church.

VISION

Shaped by an Ignatian perspective, the Center for Ethics and Economic Justice strives to “find God in all things,” envisioning a humane economy where work, corporations, technology, and free markets are ordered to authentic human development. Accordingly, the Center for Ethics and Economic Justice aims to support Loyola University New Orleans in its leadership role as an anchor institution for the region as this relates to our mission, building a network of students, faculty, alumni, and community members who share our vision.
