Bio

 

Joshua Hughes serves as a multifaceted Program Coordinator for The Center for Ethics and Economic Justice. In his versatile hybrid role, he provides mentorship, web design, financial literacy education, credit counseling, community outreach, and service placement support. Joshua joins the team with a strong sense of ethics accompanied by a faith-based character.

As the Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for EPIC Federal Credit Union. Although not of Hispanic descent, Joshua is fluent in Spanish and frequently uses the language in his professional interactions. With a degree in Visual Communication from Loyola University’s School of Mass Communication, he has applied his creative and strategic talents across the automotive, pharmaceutical, and credit union industries.

As a dedicated community liaison, Joshua has earned several accolades, including recognition on Loyola’s 40 Under 40 list, certification in Credit Union Financial Counseling, and the New Orleans Heart of Service Vanguard Award. A passionate public speaker, he regularly hosts financial literacy seminars in a wide range of settings—schools, correctional facilities, summer camps, industry events, restaurants, and churches.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Joshua is a versatile and driven professional, committed to preparing individuals and families for the ever-changing economic landscape. Outside of his work, he enjoys playing the piano, cooking international cuisine, and exploring the Louisiana State Fair.
